"I say we kill them, all of them" He said over the echoing foot pounds in the corridor. The man he was following, more like chasing after, didn't say a word. The man had an air of importance, pale skin, a black cloak and a red uniform underneath.

"What use are they to us?" The follower continued.

To his surprise the uniformed man replied.

"We need slaves don't we?"

"They will turn against us. There has been rumours of more and more hunters being trained" he said.

"The hunters are no matter to us, without young ones to train they will soon be old and useless. That is exactly what we're here to do today" The officer said.

His assistant thought for a moment. "I don't trust it. I don't want to risk it"

"It is not your choice, so quite yourself and follow orders" He turned and handed the man the spear in his hand.

"A spear sir?"

"Yes" The officer nodded. "More, as they call it, humane. We'll drink when we bring it back"

The fangs in the man's mouth elongate at the thought of blood. He bit his bottom lip, trying to settle his instincts.

"Now go, I will be here"

The man nodded and the officer stepped aside to let him pass through the corridor. He stopped at large wooden doors and checked each one. He ran his fingers over one door and a red mark appeared in the brown paint. He grinned and turned the door handle.

The door slid open a crack when growling came from his left. Slowly he turned, gripping the spear tightly.

A dark beast emerged from the shadows. It's barred teeth dripped with saliva in hope to sink them into prey. The top of the muzzle was curled back till the gums showed. It let out a low bark, looking up at the man with eyes blue like ice.

"Nice Lycanus" The man took a few steps back from the slightly open door.

The beast's ears unfolded and moved forwards in dominant position. It raised it's head and tail, still growling fiercely. It glanced at the door before returning it's gaze to the man.

Inside the room worried voices whispered. They were cut off by a woman's yell.

The man turned his spear down and pointed it at the beast. He thrusted it at the beast and the beast snapped at it. It gripped the end in it's jaws and jerked it's head to the side repeatedly. The wood splintered and cracked as the creature bit the end off. It gave him one last glare before tossing the broken spear out of his grip and further down the dark corridor behind it.

The man took a few more steps back, raising his hands a little.

If I back down, I'll be fired, or worse. The man thought and put his hands down again.

The beast shifted weight onto it's hind legs and leaped. It opened it's jaws, aiming for the man's neck. The man quickly swiped at it, catching his claw-like nails on it's flank. It made long red streaks of blood as the beast fell back, biting back a whimper of pain.

The woman in the room cried out in pain again and he knew he was wasting time. The man kicked the creature's flank before it could react and moved back to the door.

It creaked open slowly and he started inside. In a flash he was face down on the floor. The beast stood on his back, it's snarling jaws inches from the back of his head.

Before them was a large bed, with several people crowed around it. On the bed sat the lady who's been crying out. In her arms was a newborn.

The man struggled under the beast's paws. Suddenly the paws disappeared and the weight was lifted. Then a hand grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him up. He was pushed back against the wall, the hand gripping his throat, long nails digging in.

Inches from his was a female's face. She looked no more than sixteen. Her sky blue hair fell past her shoulders in messy layers and her eyes held the same icey glow as the beast's.

"Not tonight, Vampyrum" she growled.

"Please don't kill me" he cringed in fear.

She paused. "Must be a new recruit. Trained killers would've put up more of a fight"

"Please" he pleaded.

She was about to reply when suddenly she was lifted off her feet and her grip released.

"You're pathetic, Bošan" The officer's voice said. He held the Lycana up by her neck. She struggled and squeaked, unable to breathe.

Bošan looked over at the people around the bed. The lady was crying and the newborn was on the ground, bleeding. He noticed the same blood dripping from the officer's nails.

"Just hurry, grab the child and go" The officer ordered. Bošan got up and went over to pick up the death newborn. The woman reached to grab his shirt, reaching for her child and crying. He broke her grip and quickly left the room.

The officer gave a final look at the Lycana and tossed her to the ground. The gust caused by the officer's retreat slammed the door behind him.

The Lycana pushed herself up and looked at the door. Her ginger wolf ears folded back and she whimpered.

I failed, again...she thought as she hung her head.

Chapter 2, 3 and 4 are written out on paper, I'll post them here soon!

This is more of a prologue. The chapters will be somewhat fast-paced because I have a lot of story to fit in. =3
