One thing about being as invincible as I am? No pain. Because I know that entering a planet's atmosphere burns like hell. I say that because I see the fire surrounded my body, but I can't feel it. I could hear it trying to bubble my flesh off, but it couldn't. But being burned alive was the least of my worries. Yeah, like clothing. I can't just fight crime with my penis flapping around like a dying fish every time I move. My clothes aren't exactly invincible. They do get torn and charred and tattered and all the words that describe what can happen to clothes when you've been beaten, shot at, burned, etc. It happened to them. Right now, I'm probably reduced to really tattered remains, like I went through a wood chipper. I can worry about that later. Right now, here comes the ground! I closed my eyes and waited till it was over and I could climb out of there. I never felt hitting the ground either. A punch by someone stronger than me, yes. But not hitting the ground. "Jay, you can open your eyes now." I heard Kierstan's voice say. I opened my eyes and I wasn't more than a few inches from the ground. I looked up and Kierstan, Tracy, and Brutus were all standing over me, practically smirking at me.
"What happened to the big crater we would leave?" I asked them as I rose to my feet. Kierstan covered her mouth and began blushing. I turned around to look at Tracy and Brutus, but they were just as flustered. "What? What's the matter with you three?" Tracy covered her eyes, glowing red like a radioactive strawberry. She pointed down so I looked and saw that my penis was dangling out. Of course. The things I don't want to happen, happens. I looked up and smiled. I wasn't embarrassed of my penis. I turned back to look at Kierstan who kept looking at my penis. "See, when I ogle your body, you get menstrual, but when you do it to me, I'm okay with it."
"As you should be." Tracy said, probably still covering her eyes. "But not now. We were lucky to have landed into a desert where no one could see us."
"Anyone who looked up towards the stars saw us." Brutus pointed out. He was right. We do make pretty big entrances. But no one was around so we're safe for now. But this desert though. It was so cracked and gravely. It was nighttime, but I could see so many things. Not more than five hundred yards away was a coyote eating some poor, dead animal. Forty yards to the left were cacti. And on the rock, next to the cacti, an iguana? I wanna say iguana, but I could be wrong.
"Well," I said after observing the desert. "let's fly." Just as I took flight, Kierstan grabbed my leg, restricting me from flying any higher. I turned and looked at her. "What?"
"Jay, we can't use our powers here." She told me. I landed on the ground in front of her and stared at her. "What?"
"Because," Tracy began to explain. "this world does not exactly love our kind, as Brutus told you before we left." He nodded. "The point is that we have to wait until we are in danger to use our powers, and even then, we do not use them."
"Wait, wait, wait, wait. You're telling me that we can't use our powers even when we are in danger? Are you serious?"
"Yes." She replied. "We have to find civilization on foot." I groaned loudly and annoyingly. "Stop whining and come on." She and the rest of them started to walk. I can't believe that we have to act normal here. Even when there aren't any normal people around. And what's worst? I can't fly. I have to walk. For those of you that have a problem feeling sympathy, allow me to reiterate. I. Have. To. Walk. I cannot even stress how incredibly dull that sounds. We kept on walking and walking and walking, but to where? That's the thing. If I can fucking fly, I could see where we should go and we could go there, but nooooooooo! She wants to follow the rules and stuff. Isn't the point of being a good guy is so you don't have to follow the rules? The rules don't really apply to me or them. But we have to follow by them. Even if it means getting killed in the process.
"Are we there yet?" I asked them. One by one, they all said "no". Half an hour later, I asked them again and it was the same answer. Just as I was about to ask them one more time, I heard the sound I would normally make when I hit supersonic. The popping sound of the sound barrier being shattered. I looked up and saw a bright, fast moving star going through the air. At first, I thought it was a rocket or something, but then I realized that rockets don't look human. That's right. Whoever this was had the balls to use his powers, flying freely and enjoying himself, while I'm stuck walking. He curved right. He curved left. He curved down? What the hell? He's coming towards me? Yeah, he's coming towards me. Of course. I would find some guy to fight when I can't fight him. "We might have a problem, you guys." I looked to see that they didn't even stop. They kept on walking. They weren't far but still you'd think they'd wait for me. "Hey!" They stopped and turned around.
"Zax, why did you stop walking?" Kierstan asked me. To answer that question, he came down like a wrecking ball. There was no dust blowing in our faces. No rocks or pebbles or any form of solid, hard natural objects scattering through the air. He just landed on his feet with a dull thud. Of course, he put a little dent in the ground, cracking it, but that's it. He was silent. I could complain about how he could use his powers, but I was too impressed by his costume. It was skin tight, like it was constricting him. And it was black with grey lines that ran down the shoulders and arms. And he had a hood too. It covered his long, black hair. I know his hair is long and black because I could see the ends of it linger from out his hood. And his eyes. Oh my, his eyes! They were white. Pale white. He lacked pupils and it was just creepy. But then again, I was in charred rags with my penis still hanging out, so I shouldn't really be judging anybody. "You're dead." Without a second thought, he rushed at me. I stood there waiting. Nothing he was about to do could hurt me. He threw his arms out and a sword appeared from thin air. It was darker than dark. Like a shadow on top of a shadow.
"Jay!" Kierstan called out. I turned around and saw them running my way, but I didn't want their help.
"Go! I'll catch up!" I yelled at them. They stopped in their tracks. She nodded and turned back around. Brutus and Tracy followed after her.
"Turning your back on your opponent. Not such a wise move!" He said as he swung his sword at me.
"Who are you?" I asked him while dodging his attack.
"Your enemy." He lunged at me with the sword. He raised the sword and brought it downward, trying to slice me in half. Keyword: Trying. I caught it just before it made contact.
"I don't even know you!" I yelled as I moved the sword to the side of me and grabbed him by his hood and threw him over me. He spun in the air and landed. He reminded me of Destiny. So graceful. Except he was a guy and he wasn't fat.
"And I don't know you, but here we are." He threw out his other arm and another identical sword appeared. I sighed profoundly. He has two and I don't know if I'll even survive a stab from them. Something about them seems weird and off. I can sense an aura emitting from them and I don't like it. "All I know is that I'm supposed to capture you and your little girlfriend and bring you to my employer. No questions asked." Someone already has a hit put out on us? Really!
"You sound like a bounty hunter. So, all you do is kill for money?"
"No, not kill. Capture. Big difference. I would never take the life of anyone." Great. A bounty hunter with a conscience. Suddenly, a hand from the ground sprouted and grabbed my leg, pulling me into the ground. I reached down to pry the hand from my leg, but another came and grabbed my arm. I couldn't break free! A body jumped from the concrete and pulled me to the ground, putting his arms over my body, immobilizing me. I struggled to break free, but it was pointless. "It's pointless." He said, repeating my thought. He walked towards me, dragging his sword on the ground. The ground began to split and crack. It opened a crevice that had hands and head protruding from the side of the dark canyon. "That is the Shadow World. The darkest, baddest place unknown to man. That is where you will go until I find your girlfriend." He lifted the sword from the ground and placed it on my chest. "I thought you would be more of a challenge. I see I was disappointed. I really hate being disappointed." I didn't even give him a chance to dodge before I blasted him in the chest with my laser beams. "Aargh!" he screamed as the crevice closed up before he fell in. I ripped from the bodies and limbs that pin me to the ground, crushing the ground as I flexed to break free. I stood up and pulled the dead hand from my arm and tossed it on the ground. It started to deteriorate and soak into the ground. I looked at the dark guy who was struggling to breathe.
"Now," I said as I grabbed him by his hood and lifted him off the ground. "shall we begin round two?"
