The monkey seemed to be trying to befriend me. He copied me and smiled like a geek. He grabbed a banana off of a tree and handed it to me. I took it out of his hand. The monkey was watching me eat the banana. When I was finished with it, he smiled and slammed his chest with his fists. I laughed and I think we were becoming close friends. Maybe he could be my pet. I hoped that he wouldn't just run off. I later decided to call him Cody. He resembled my son that I missed more than anything right now. I would give the world to see my son again. I sighed. I watched the monkey that was just looking around for more food. How did these animals survive on the island? I started to wonder if I'd be able to live here. It was sad to think that I lived on an island now, but it was happening. It was true, I was going to have to make my home on this huge island that would take long to explore. I was happy I lived on a big island rather than small. Who knows what was on it? Maybe more jungles, more animals, more food, and who knows maybe evn a spring with fresh water and even some other people! Then I shook my head and looked down at my feet. "there are no other people here." I said to myself aloud. It would be a huge gift and coinsidence if there were any other person or people on this island. It seemed almost impossible. It wasn't impossible, but it was pretty close to it. I turned around and watched as the blue ocean waves were forced apon the sandy surface and then pulled back into the great flood of water. It looked like there was nothing out there. I'd never seen anything so empty before. It seemed so lonely. The sky was blue and cloudless. It was no different than the sea. Blue and empty. Except the sun in the sky, was the island on the ocean. Just a small portion that was all alone in the distance. Then, I walked down towards the shoreline and kicked my bare feet in the waves that crashed. I almost forgot about Cody the monkey. He was walking behind me and was next to me in an instant. He looked up at me in slight fear. My eyebrowns curved. "What's wrong?" I knew immediately he wasn't happy. I turned my head behind me. All I saw was a bit of sandy beach that led into a green jungle with lots of fruits and nature. Nothing was wrong. But then Cody looked at my shoulder and pointed jumping up and down screaming and making monkey noises. He then waved his arms and I frantically looked around not knowing what to do or what he wanted to show me. I looked where he was pointing earlier. Then I felt something moving on my shoulder and crawling slowly across it. My eyes opened wider in fear. A bigyellow furryspider was walking on my shoulder. I didn't know if it was poisonis. It probably was, I was in ajungle after all. I didn't want to touch it but if it was venomis and bit me, I was done. I shook and held my middle finger against my thumb and stuck my other fingers up. I then flicked the spider off to the side and he flew across the island. I flipped my hair up and down and ran around kicking sand everywhere. I knew that there were no more spiders, but I was just nervouse. Cody stared at me and began to copy me and scratch his arms and head to get any spiders off. I stopped and giggled. I walked to the right so that the spider wouldn't walk on my foot when I accidently stepped on it.

It was turning night and I had to find a way to sleep without any bugs on me. I didn't want to sleep in the sand again. I wasn't even tured yet but wanted to just sleep and end this terrible day and night. I don't know how long I lived on this island now. 3 days? 2? I didn't even know but whatever it was, I didn't accomplish anything yet except for flicking a spider, eating bananas and finding Cody.

I wanted to get some real food. I was feeling my stomach knot up in huger and it hurt. I felt as if I'd starve any second and die. I lived on bananas for the past few days. I needed to make a contraption to catch fish. I needed to start a fire to cook fish and make a shelter to protect me from winds or storms and give me someplace to sleep and call home. I was talking aloud now. To no one except Cody. I felt awefully strange that night. I didn't feel right. I guess it's because I wanted to eat and have a home and be comfortable. It was depression. I fell asleep dreaming about my thoughts and wishes. My eyes closed slowly and my brain powered off. I was asleep.

I woke up bright early in the morning and decided to gather some food. I wlaked into the small opening of the jungle and right away found some food. Bananas. Was there anything else to eat on this island? I thought to myself. Then I heard a loud and faint sould behind me int he far ocean. I squinted at the black and orange floating thing on the sea. It was coming towards me. Was it.. a boat? A boat! I waved my arms and crid to the boat as it honked its horn and came very close to me. I jumped into the water and swam over to it. But then something happened. Water came over my head and flooded the island. Fish came onto the island and coral and seaweed flooded into me. I was pushed my the current and knocked under the water. Something hit my head hard and I passed out. But I saw myself floating to the bottom of the ocean. It was like I was watching myself. I didn't see complete darkness like I passed out. "AHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed and darted upwards. I breathed heavily and held my chest panting. "It was only a dream." I said over and over to myself. Once I got over my dream, I noticed it was daytime and Cody was gone. "Cody?" "Cody!" I screamed. I got up off my butt and went into the jungle. I hoped Cody didn't leave forever.
