Chapter 1
In the Beginning
A young woman about twenty years of age was quickly running through the thick forests of Florida. She was running from a group of men. She ran continuously until finally her little feet gave out and she fell to the ground. As she hit the ground she let out a scream and the four men caught up with her.
"Well well well," said one of the men.
"Looks like she fell," said another one laughing.
"Please," she pleaded. "Leave me alone, I haven't done anything to you," she said.
"That's the problem," said another one laughing. "You haven't done anything to us, but we want to do something to you!" he said laughing loudly. Then one of them grabbed her and tried to hold her down but she squirmed as much as she could.
"Don't fight it! Just let it happen," said another man. They continued to hold her down then one of them covered up her mouth so she couldn't scream. Suddenly they all heard footsteps.
"Who's that?" asked one of the men. Then they all stopped. The man in the trees kept walking towards them.
"Someone is coming, but it's just one person. I think we can take him," said one of the men.
"What are you people doing?" asked the man in the trees.
"We're having some fun, what does it look like?" said one of the men in a smart tone. The girl's mouth was still covered up but she tried to scream. The man in the trees stood there about 69 inches tall. He was wearing a white collared shirt with black dress pants. His shirt was tucked in. He looked like he just got back from church or something.
"What ever you are doing, can you do it somewhere else. You are stepping on my flowers," he said. They all then looked down and saw a flower garden they were on.
"Flowers? What are you some kind of a queer?" said one of them then they all started to laugh. Then one of them picked up his foot and smashed one of the flowers.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," said the man in the trees.
"What are you gonna do there flower girl? Throw flowers at us?" said one the guys laughing.
"Actually, the flowers will take care of you themselves," said the man in the trees.
"This fool has lost his mind. They're damn flowers! They can't do squat!" said another one of them.
"Plants are much smarter than what you give them credit for. Let me tell you this, they are much smarter than you," said the man very calmly.
"This guy is retarded or something. He thinks the flowers will get us," said one of the guys. Then he stomped on another flower. "Yeah that flower really showed me," then he began to laugh hysterically.
"Let me tell you a secret about plants. When they are in danger they can give off an odor to attract a predator to fight off or kill the creature harming the plant," said the man.
"So they sent you?" asked the man laughing. "I'd like to see you come over here and stop me," said the man and he then drew a knife.
"It's not me you have to worry about. It's them," said the man in the trees and pointed out into the trees.
"I don't see anything," said one of the guys. Suddenly they could all hear the buzzing sounds of bees.
"That sounds like bees!" said one of the guys in concern.
"No no, it's not just bees, it's wasps and hornets my friends," said the man in the trees. "Those flowers that you just stepped on just gave off an odor to attract bees, wasps, and hornets which all use these flowers, and when they see what you have done to their flowers, you're going to regret ever stepping on them," said the man in the trees. The buzzing got louder and louder and the four men started getting real worried. Then suddenly a swarm of bees came out. They all took off running but were attacked by wasps and hornets as they ran. They screamed and screamed. The bees, hornets, and wasps stung them relentlessly. They ran as fast as they could trying to avoid getting stung but they couldn't. They ran continuously until they could finally not be heard or seen. "Humans can be so ignorant sometimes," said the man to himself. He then walked over to his plants and looked to see the damage that had been done. As he neared he saw a girl curled up in the flowers. She had her eyes closed and mouth covered and stood there curled up like she was trying to play dead. He then tapped her leg and she looked up at him.
"What happened to the bees and hornets?" she asked.
"They went after those who were trying to harm the flowers," said the man.
"How come they didn't attack me?" she asked.
"Because you were not harming the flowers," said the man. The woman then got up. She had short black hair and stood about 55 inches. "Lady, what are you doing this far in the jungle?" asked the man.
"I was driving by and my car broke down. Then suddenly another car pulled up behind me and those four came out. They kept feeling on my body and harassing me. I tried to walk away but they started following me so I ran into the jungle," she said.
"Very well, just make sure you stay off my flowers," said the man and he turned around and began to walk away.
"Hey!" she yelled. The man turned around.
"My phone is broken and civilization is like maybe another ten miles from here. Do you think I could use your phone?" she asked. The man stood there for a minute. He had straight black hair and a tan skin complexion.
"That's fine with me," he said. "Follow me," he instructed. Then together they both walked through the jungle.
