It's July 2012. The sky's gone dark and I no longer have any perception of the passage of time. I just hope I'm at the right address. It's been days. I fucking made it. I don't know where we're.. I mean, I don't know where I'm going. I just hope Lorelei decides to come with me. We've had this planned for almost a whole year and it never seemed real at all until now. Until I packed my shit and left. We're old enough to survive now. Legally. Almost. I left a note on the living room table. Said bye to my 'sis and mom, and told my sperm donor to eat a gun. I just didn't want to live there anymore. It's simple.Florida, man. I'm here. I destroyed my phone. They don't exist anymore. None of them do. I took as much cash as I could find. I'm a pro shoplifter. We can work. We'll be perfect.

It's even darker now. Almost pitch-black. She lives in one of those gated communities. I told a sob story to somebody driving through and was able to get a ride up the main road. It was pretty difficult finding Lor's house. I walked up to at least two other houses before finding hers, hidden behind two huge trees.I think one was a maple.I stand there for a few moments, and then lay down on the grass. The thought of someone seeing me from inside hadn't come to mind. I feel so free. Back at home, pressure was coming at me from every direction.

What other people think I should do V.S. what I want to do V.S. what I should do.The pressure is gone. The rush of running is still pumping through my veins. They're looking for me, but they won't find me.I almost walk up to the front door and knock on it. Then, I remember Lor had taken up residence in the basement. I walk around as quitely as possible and find a window in the very back of the house.

I tap three times.
No answer. Well, no fucking WAY she's asleep.
I tap on it three more times.
