The man stepped out from the shadows.
"I am Guy of Gisborn sheriff of nottingham and Lord of Locksley." The sheriff chuckled low.
"Since when? My father owns this castle." I spoke my volue rising fast.
"Since he died two years ago, 1 year after your mother had died of grief of you being gone then once your father died your brother left to go live with his Fey or fairie cousins what ever you call them." The sheriff said with not even a single drop of remorse in his voice.
Shock over came my body. I could't move, My world had stopped. I had just lost my family in a matter of seconds. i turned away from the Sheriff trying to keep my composure. I stared at the door for a while not talking then I felt strong arms wrap around me.
"It'll be okay Robin you still have us, were your family." John whispered in my ear softly.I nodded my thanks and pulled his arms off with a heavy sigh. I turned around, facing the Sheriff.
"Well I'm here now so you have been relieved of your duty Sheriff." I commanded.
"I'm afraid that's not possible, The prince himself granted this land to me, taking this back meant going against the prince and the king himself, but you are welcome to stay here for the night." The sheriff grinned.
"That seems fine...Thank you" I said anger bubbling up.
"I'll have one of my servants show you to your rooms." The Sheriff spoke as he started walking away from me. I blinked at his demanor. he was a very forthcoming person and quick to the bit.Oh well I guess he'll just have to be dealt with. while I was thinking I didn't notice the Sheriff's servant till the last second. he tapped my shoulder suprising me, making me grab his arm twist and pushing him to the ground. I started shaking badly.
"No. NO. Please No." I screamed. I fell to the ground in agony. I can't live like this. I just can't. I want it to all go away. please take it away. Once again I felt strong arms curl around me holding me tight, rocking me back and forth.
"Shhh.... Shhh .... It's okay Robin, you're okay." John whispered like a mother to her child. I gently slid his hands off saying my thanks and got up and brushing myself off.
"I'll find my way to my room thanks." I told the cowering servant.
