Raven and I continued through the woods at a slow pace. We were both extremely tired, we had been traveling for 4 weeks straight since we had arrived in Spira.
Raven stumbled, I quickly turned and caught her before she could hit the ground. Raven looked at me,
“Alex I can’t walk anymore, please can we stop for a moment?”
“Of course.”
I lowered Angel to the ground; she leaned back against a tree and closed her eyes. I sat down beside her, she smiled. Raven and I always get happier when we are together; even hiking through bandit/monster infested woods.
I shifted my position, wrapped my arms around Raven, and pulled her closer.
Raven sighed,
“I know what you’re thinking Alex. I still don’t regret coming with you, and I never will.”
“But, you’re always being attacked; you’re always on the run for your life. I don’t want to lose you.”
Raven sat up, and put her hands on the ground on either side of me to keep herself from falling,
As long as I’m with you, I know I’ll be fine. Don’t worry so much Alex. Somehow I know everything is going to be fine.”
‘She’s so care free, she’s always smiling even when in a life threatening situation.’
I pulled Raven gently towards me, and kissed her. Instantly all my weariness and pain was gone, I felt rested, and refreshed.
Raven slowly pulled away.
“So, how much farther to this castle you keep telling me about?”
I smiled and stood up,
“We will reach it in a few moments.”
Raven frowned,
“Raven we are in the middle of nowhere, just a few hours ago you said we would reach it by tomorrow morning. How are we going to reach it in a couple of minutes?”
“By flying of course.”
