Let us be happy and our doings well for today
‘Cause tomorrow, we do not know if it shall be gay;
This day of today, oh, that day of tomorrow!
Tomorrow! Is there one? Shall we be prepared for it?
Who may be the persons whom the day awaits to quit?
Whatever we can do, seize the opportunity now,
Tomorrow is the only day we can make the row;
This day of today, oh, that day of tomorrow!
Tomorrow! Tomorrow again we have to traverse,
Oh! On this very faithful and fruitful universe;
Then let’s give helping hands to a comrade in despair,
For tomorrow, the good we have done we can compare;
This day of today, oh, that day of tomorrow!
With virtues and patience let us then eagerly bear,
Waiting for tomorrow, when justice we shall soon hear;
This day of today, oh, that day of tomorrow!
Tomorrow! Tomorrow’s a day that shall come to pass
And all human beings shall be working very fast’;
Preparing for tomorrow - scooping at the last dust,
‘Cause tomorrow’s the day we have to discharge the just;
Tomorrow! Oh! At the dawning of that dreadful day
God, we will implore and beg to be our host and stay;
So peace, instead of war, let’s unite and fight to bring
For tomorrow we shall hear from our Almighty King;
This day of today, oh, that day of tomorrow!
