Put them on your ceiling,
Stick them to the sky,
They share the same purpose,
Both will shine.
Count them as they twinkle,
Before the sun will rise,
Stare and dream and wonder,
With your very eyes.
They bring imagination,
Give me such inspiration,
They’re simply wonderful fascinations.
Violets, yellows, corals, and greens,
Every color you could think,
But then something breaks my heart,
The colors fade, the counting stops,
Goodbye, farewell, my lovely Plastic Stars.
