I have seen many men die and some of those men died at my own hand, yet this fact is perfectly acceptable as I am here in this god forsaken land fighting for my own country and honour. I would hazard a guess the enemy feels the same way yet we cannot both be good or in the right perhaps both our sides are in the wrong.

As I am writing this I am thinking it could be me tomorrow bleeding to death in the fields.

I can still smell the odour of death around me and it brings back fleeting memories of men running towards me looking like savages or murderers with fire shooting from the hot metal in their hands and when I look in a mirror as the sun is setting the face looking back at me is as theirs is.
