Born the fourth chld of Irish Catholic missionaries to Indonesia, saw many interesting tales there; including the snuffing of a great volcanoe by a tidal wave. Lost my way once in the jungle but was rescued by those whom my parents tried so hard to civilize. This changed my life, feeling a new sense of what civilization is, I shaved my head, was tatooed from head to toe and lived among the natives. Eventually sent out as a missionary among the Catholics and Methoditsts, seeing a greater need there than among the tribes of Borneo and Timor.
Finally, after much consternation began understanding the satisfaction most people get in being who they want to be, whether right or wrong. Even God can't change that.
Today; prefer catching trout and throwing them back. People may be easier to catch but they are almost impossible to throw back after you catch them.
