My real name is Terry Blake. I have been writing since I was a teen. I started writing because I wasn't a very open person and when I wrote it was like I was talking to someone about my problems. It always made me feel better. It was my release I guess and still is a lot of the time. I only write when I feel compelled to and only about what ever it is I am feeling at that moment. I have never really shared my writings with anyone except for on this website and even here I used a pen name. Afraid of rejection I guess. I don't read books. I don't even read poetry. Which is weird because I enjoy writing. I just signed a contract with Publish America for my book Conversations Between The Heart And The Mind which is to be released on 9/2/10. It's a book of poetry. A lot of the poems I have on the site will be in the book so if you like them and maybe want to read more of my poems then get the book.
