    <summary>A Ghazal in English.

(A Ghazal is a piece of poetic composition that is made up like an odd numbered chain of couplets, where each couplet is an independent poem. Each couplet is called a sher/sheyr. The main common factor between various couplets is the rhyme and the refrain.)

The Ghazal developed in Persia in the 10th century AD. It was brought to India with the Mogul invasion in the 12th century. The Ghazal tradition is currently practiced in many countries in many languages like Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam and also in English.)
