I have registered for NaNoEdMo - National Novel Editing Month. I have no idea where to start so I figured that this would be a good place to start and get some guidance along the way. I have logged in 5 and a half hours of editing time already and I can see my rough gem of a novel being polished. When I am finished I will post excerpts from my newly polished novel :)

Wow February was a hectic month and I just now realized that I haven't updated in a while. I entered three FebNo and put my word count goal down as 20, 000 words for each and I actually managed to overshoot my goals for all of them. One of them I actually even managed to double my goal puttign me at a combined total of of 60, 000 words for the month. Additionally I had a death in the family which was completely unexpected so that added a bit of stress to an already hectic month.

I accidentally signed up for multiple FebNos :O But this is okay as I like a challenge and if I can pull this off - NaNO should be a breeze.

I won! I won! ! won! Now that I have stopped jumpign up and down and caught my breath. I surpassed my goal for Janno and now have a shiny new (albeit PDF) plaque that says I am a winner!!! Now on to Febno :D

I just submitted my novel for submission to JanNoWriMo :) I am so excited that I actually managed to pump out a novel in a month like that and I didn't feel rushed about it. I could have actually written more. I did choose only to write 20K rather than 50K like in NanoWriMo but this was a good one to start with as I now think that I actually could write 50K in a month. After JanNO wraps out I will post some excerpts :D

So almost half way through January and coincidentally almost half way through my JanNoWriMo Novel too :) I just finished Chapter 5 and am very happy with they way it's going. I even added an extra scene that willmake the transition intot he next chapter more flow-y. Is Flow-y even a word? I dunno I tend to make up words by adding a "Y" or and "ISH" at the end of them. But not in my writing, only in actual talking do I do that. It just doesn't translate the same way when written out :P

Haven't updated in a while and thought I would catch you guys up o things. I have started the next chapter of my novel for JanNoWriMo and so far it is going pretty good. I am keeping on track in terms of both story line and word count. I don't actually feel rushed about the writing which is good because rushed writing = bad writing in my experience :P On Storywrite.com I have also netered few short stories in for contests. When they are over I will post them here too :)

While going through a box of old stuff I found the original draft of the novel that I had published in a school journal when I was in Grade 9 :d I also found a love letter to this guy that I had a huge crush on when I was attending high school. I chickened out at the last second and never gave it to him which is apparent from the fact that it is still sealed in the original envelope. The things you find when you clean up huh?

Well yesterday I wrote a lot. I finished a whole chapter of my JanNoWriMo novel. I also wrote a short story for a friend who is trying to make a manga but was having a hard time coming up with any ideas for the story. She wanted it to be a sweet romantic story so I dashed one off for her and then I began to think about back in high school when on the very first day of school I got lumped in with the loser crowd because someone's boyfriend made a comment about me and she got jealous so she made me life hell during high school. I remember she had this nickname for me "Dateless". Rude huh? Well I came up with a whole new idea for a novel based on that but not really about me. So I wrote up an outline for that and that is mostly done. Weird how writing makes you write more huh? Its like a drug. :P

Day 4 of JaNoWriMo. Probably not gonna write too much today. Woke up after a 12 hour sleep with a full on head cold and now I feel all groggy from the DayQuil I took. Non-Drowsy my foot :P I'll just write extra tomorrow to make up for it.

I must have posted the last update after midnight :) Third day of JaNoWriMo and i have completed Chapter One. I am happy with it. So far it is staying on track from my outline. Sometimes no matter how much work you put into an outline when you actually start writing it, the plots takes on a life of it's own.

Second day of working on my JanNoWriMo novel. The outline is as complete as its gonna get plotwise. I am now in the research stage. I have been to a circus but I do not know a lot about the inner workings that and a few things like Hypertrichtocosis (sp? an abundance of hair all over the body) and Ichithocosis (sp? a condition where your skin is extremely dry and takes on a scaly appearance). So far I have started writing Chapter One and have about 600 words written.

Happy New Year :) I started on my JaNoWriMo novel last night. I couldn't sleep so I was up at 4:30 writing away. I'll have to review what I read to see if my sleep-deprived writing is usabel or not :P
