In the future.... What if there's a new strain of...

“She lives in a fairytale somewhere too far for us to find.”

The girl’s a lost soul, drifting around life, sometimes seen and sometimes heard but her spirit never once pinned down on this Earth. She travels far and wide to worlds only known in books and fantasies, dancing along the line between reality and fiction as best as she can without tripping over the edge. ‘Tis a dangerous fate she weaves yet her irrational addiction.

“The angles are all wrong now she’s ripping wings off of butterflies.”

The girl can’t be called bipolar but she certainly is polar. Her mood changes fast and her personality no one can say. She is like the wind, fleeting and restless, never staying too long in one place.  Her whims are many and her heart is fragile in more ways than one. She would speak out and yet she would stay quiet.

“She was just a girl, she expected the world.”

The girl lives with her head in the clouds, her dreams big but her truly talents little. Her confidence waxes and wanes but one thing is for certain: her determination is sufficient. She wants many yet she gets little but she never complains because she knows that life is hardly fair and Fate has to be accepted either way. She would ask for more but she’d rather work for  it, though no one sees how she toils.

“What a shame we’ve all became such fragile, broken things.”

The girl would change the world but she doesn’t know where to start. She wants to change the way people think and see things and yet she can’t change herself. The world is falling apart, she thinks, our society is going to the dogs. Won’t things be much better if everyone saw everything in a different, simpler light?

There is nought left of her, there is nought that is gone. She is everything that is and was wanting to live in what will be. If she can only get there.

Can you try to understand her, or maybe even relate to her?
