A sad poem.
Hi!!! The writing bug bit me a short while ago, and I'm enjoying every moment of it! So far, most of my work is poetry, though I do have a few short stories under my belt.
I believe that a good story is a work of art. Every word adds to the limitless blank canvas. There are an infinite number of possibilities with what you could do with a piece of paper and a writing utensil or a word processing program.
I must say that Harry Potter is my favorite series, and it was the series that caused me to start writing. Shortly after I became a Harry Potter fan, I started reading Harry Potter fan fiction, and it really inspired me to try my hand at it. My first story clearly displayed my inexperience, but I found that, through learning, reviews, and good fan fiction buddies, I'm showing a slight improvement.
Sometimes I can be very hard on myself, especially when my stories are rejected. Of course, just like any other normal person, I try to make them better, but it still leaves a little dent that something I tried to make into a masterpiece failed. But I guess it's not failure until i decide to put down my pen.
I hope to gain a more fulfilling experience as a writer, so that I may find something I find fun, yet is appropriately challenging. I appreciate all reviews and suggestions, but constructive criticism is loved and embraced above all else. Flames will be ignored. Please don't waste your time.
I try to review every single story and new chapter I read, because I know how frustrating it is when your hit-to-review ratio is somewhere between 1:80 and 1:30. So I try to show support for fellow authors.
I look forward to knowing you better. And even if I may have trouble sounding very grateful over the internet, I truly deeply appreciate it when someone leaves a comment about my story.
I try to post a new poem every day, because I love writing, and poetry is a great way to vent my feelings or my overcomplicated thoughts. Hopefully you will enjoy what I'm doing, and I'm very happy at the amount of support I've got. You make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. :) I wrote a poem thanking you, if you want to check it out. It's called Gratitude. :) Thanks again!
