"Hurry, Daddy, please come quick! I really mean it, it's not a trick," yells Claire. After Claire has been safely tucked into bed for the night, her overactive imagination sees monsters in her closet, under her bed and behind her curtains. Together, Claire and Dad chase these "monsters" away. "Monster, monster, go away! Claire and I don't want to play." With a little help from Dad, Claire learns that-sometimes things aren't what they appear to be.

Barbara has worked in Early Childhood Education for the past twenty years. She is currently in the process of self publishing several other picture books. Your Monster Is Really A Mess! is her first picture book. Another children's picture book is forthcoming this summer. Barbara has lived with her family in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado for 30 years.
