Hello everybody, i hope you're all happy and stretching your vocabularies, and not getting too frustrated when the words just will not come. Have faith my friends and remember, writers should always write, whether it's a simple idea or something "clunky" that needs refining. So whenever you feel inspired, as crazy as it may appear, write it down and store it away with the other piles of barely legible scribbles that you'll accrue. Remember, anyone who can unlock the chain from heart to brain is on the right road. I've been writing as a hobby for several years, and have had the good fortune to have many of my poems published.  To have people read, and like (or totally detest what you have written) is all good. Certainly better than them never having had the choice to choose in the first place. I encourage you to write from the heart.  If you feel sad, write about sadness. If you feel happy, write about joy.  If you believe in fairies and elves, then write about those too. Write about baboons, or helium baloons.  Write about whatever you want . Find your inner child. What would he or she believe would make an interesting poem? Don't be a slave to meter and rhyme. They have their place but the most important thing, if you wish to develop, is to transfer any thoughts onto paper, and experiment with different styles and see what suits you.  It will all be ok.  If you ever get dreaded 'writers block', as i do sometimes, then paint, draw, or doodle.  Don't ever tell yourself, or let anybody else tell you,  that your no good.  As i previously said, anyone that does anything more than nothing is on the right road. Search for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow people. You'll never find it because it doesn't exist, but you never know what you may stumble upon on your journey.
