I have deep roots in the Midwest: I was raised by a nice, Baptist family in Nebraska and went on to Minneapolis to Billy Graham’s Bible School. After graduating from there, I was to become a minister-of-the-Gospel, but instead I attended the University of Minnesota and became a teacher.
I taught writing in the classroom for over thirty years: high school, community college, and university. And for four years I taught college English aboard warships at sea for the navy.
I have had a happy-and-successful teaching career and am listed in the fourth edition of “Who’s Who among America’s Teachers”
I am an old, retired, English professor, intent on saving the world, and living in country Hawaii in a house I built myself.
