Michael del Ray (1941-2008) was an American writer and life-long resident of the Texas Hill Country. del Ray was best known for horror and hard-boiled detective stories sold to pulp magazines in the 1960′s. del Ray commanded a small but energetic fan base while alive and as is the case with many deceased artists, a growing interest in his pennings has occured in the years following his death.

In 2009, four del Ray short novels were discovered at his cabin on the Frio River. Estate spokesperson, Thomas Domlery commented recently that, “These short novels are an exciting find for the estate and del Ray fans as they may well be the last stories written by him.” Domlery believes the novels were written during 2007 and early 2008.

The rewriting and editing process for the first novel, Long Term Parking, was completed in late 2010.
