Moving, it's my life.
While most people tend to live in one or two cities up until the age of twenty, I've just so happened to live in three different continents. And I'm not even twenty yet! Having traveled so much has lead me to have great insight on cultural differences as well as being able to adapt to my surroundings in an easier manner. Though, it has been said that that isn't always easy, and boy let me tell you- it really isn't. Which is how I turned to writing, where I can find peace and serenity no matter where I am in this vast world we live in. Writing and poetry helps people to relieve themselves of pain, sadness, and/or happiness. This being why I've created an account on this website.
Now that you know that I am pretty much an expat, I'll try and provide y'all with a little more information.
I'm currently a sophomore in college, studying Hotel Management. As lovely as that probably sounds to you- the reader, I am not by any means interested in working in the Hospitality Industry. I actually aspire to become an English teacher, hopefully for third or fourth graders. But for now I'll stick to this lovely education I've taken up on. I am originally from the Netherlands, but I do not speak Dutch to save my life. My mother tongue is most definitely English, albeit I also speak Spanish. Sadly though, my spelling and grammar in Spanish isn't as good as it should be, but I'll blame that on the moving in and out of Spanish countries for the past six or seven years. I am a proud aunt of three beautiful children and am probably in love with those kids. Which comes to another priority in my life, and that is to become a mother myself. To me the thought of bearing a child brings total happiness to mind. So I will long for the day that I will hold my own infant in my arms.
I know, most girls dream about their weddings and all that good stuff, but for me it's all about the day in which I become a mother. Although I'd definitely prefer being in some sort of stable relationship or marriage for that to happen, haha.
So, this is me. Well the basics of what makes me me. I'm sure you who read my work will find out more and more about the writer I am; therefore finding out more about the person I am as well. Enjoy reading what I'll be producing! Oh yes, and before I forget, if you want to criticize my work, by all means do so. I believe that every writer needs some constructive criticism in order to become a better writer themselves. So attack if you please! But don't be too harsh, and I must apologize if you dislike my own criticism. Anyway, thanks for reading!
