My name is Ruben, currently eighteen years old, and I'm halfway through my first year of College.

I live in Puerto Rico, a small, yet beautiful island of the Caribbean. I'm a volleyball player, but writing is my secret hobby.

When I write, I feel like I'm free; no one can tell me what to do or say; no rules or boundaries, it's just me, a piece of paper and my pen, letting my imagination fly.

I believe in constructive criticism, so I will try to follow all of your advice, ideas and suggestions, since I am just an amateur trying to learn a little bit more each day.

Love is a beating heart;

Exposed like a piece of art;

It is also a sharp dart,

That can tear your world apart.
 

Love is a sparkling flame;

Like a stallion it can’t be tamed;

It is also a vile game,

Where the loser’s put to shame.
 

Love is a shining star;

Like a hawk it can fly far;

It is also an endless war,

Leaving an unfading scar.
 

Love is an endless bliss

Sweet like the first kiss;

It is also a loud hiss,

Depends on you if it’s a hit or miss.
