I am a slightly confused, slightly clear-headed, marginally intelligent, lightly travelled, mid forties Canadian man. I am somewhat of an amateur musician and song writer. Nature is my passion. Dogs are by far and away my favorite creatures on the planet. I despise cruelty, of any kind. I admire and respect only kindness. I am a wanna be luthier. I am happiest when in the company of my canine companion. I am an amalgam of Irish, Italian, Pennsylvanian Dutch and Scottish heritage, probably a few others thrown in for good measure as well. I haven't the slightest idea of what I should be doing in this world. My girlfriend's eight year old son told me something the other day that has been ringing in my ears ever since......"If you're not doing what you were meant to do, what is the point of anything?" Whew...out of the mouth of babes!
I tend to agree with his statement, although figuring out what one is "meant to do" is slightly confusing, slightly clear. I live riddled with indecision because I tend to be able to see both sides, or at least two sides of any discussion, or issue. In the end though, I am not a procrastinator...I tend to act with what my gut tells me, to hell with the consequences. I have paid dearly for that philosophy and probably will continue to. I have also benefitted greatly from the very same philosophy. Mine is the lot of the unsatisfied! I know something great must be just around the corner, or not.
