I've been an off and on again writer since my teens.  I haven't seen a whole lot of my works through, but I have been playing with the idea of writing a book.  I currently considering using a world I came up with out of boredom (it all started with a map) but I am still working to flesh it out.  I've only actually finished two stories, but unfortunately I lost the first one in a computer crash.  So I'll just share what I have so far and see what y'all think.

    I can't say I really stick to one genre, although my lean at the moment seems to be towards horror.  The book I want to write would be fantasy and I have another idea for a sci-fi book rolling around, I just haven't been able to get past the premise.  Although I would like to get published, I don't hold any unrealistic visions of granduer.  All I've written so far has been for my own pleasure, mostly to get around boredom.  I'm not sure how an actual attempt to sit down and purposefully write something would turn out.
