I really thought that the lizard and the gecko is one. I mean when the lizard grows up, he will become a gecko an older version of a lizard. We call lizard “tiki” and the gecko “tuku” so, I thought that when the gecko made a sound “tuku!”, “tuku!”. He’s saying that “ I’m a “tiki” but the old one, the bigger one. Ha! Ha! Ha! Stupid me!!!

I also thought that the one I saw on the school canal where my Lola once sell native delicacies are all baby fishes. They are so many swimming there, they are all colored black. I told my grandma when she fetches me in my playmates house to come with me to that school because there’s a lot of fish there. She asked me where side of the school it can be found, I told her it's in the canal…I also told her that there’s lot of kids catches fish there. She answered that it’s not a fish but “ulong-ulong” (tadpoles). I asked her what “ulong-ulong” is. She said it’s a baby frog…I think of it and tried to picture it out but I’m not convinced…it’s really look like a fish…and it’s a fish for me. The following day I visit my Lola again…and I passed by on that canal but the small fishes are all gone…What's left is a small frog with a tail. I thought someone catches it all…and I went home feeling sad and sorry. But when I’m in grade one I realized that it is true…my Lola wasn’t lying to me…all that black creature swimming and looks like small fishes is really a tadpoles…a baby frog.
