Just a little ditty I wrote for my youngest grand daughter.

Farmer Joe has a farm and a large pumpkin patch,

in Plumberry Valley; at the foot of Mount Hatch.

He's a very nice fellow, quite cheery and fat,

dressed in blue overalls, and a tattered straw hat.

"I know you grow pumpkins, but do you have animals too?"

"Why yes of course child. Come, let me show you a few."

His animals are different you will most truly agree,

once you've met some of the critters he showed to me!

First was Emma the sheep, whose wool was bright green.

She was the silliest sight to look at that I've ever seen.

Then there was Buster the Pig, who barked like a dog,

It was clear he didn't know he should "oink" like a hog.

Farmer Joe then showed me his old plow mule named Clyde,

Have you ever seen a mule with a blue polka dot hide?

Even his chickens were strange, laying colored Easter eggs.

and walking around on not two, but four scrawny legs!

But down in the pasture is the strangest sight of them all,

a cow with a giraffe's neck, making her stand ten feet tall!

Homer the horse trotted by as Farmer Joe and I passed,

flapping his wings and chirping, as I stood there aghast!

Now do you agree this farm might give you the jitters,

after hearing about Farmer Joe and his fantabulous critters?
