a poem about a puppy

sweet baby

sweet baby

crunching on old theatre popcorn

kissing the yellow butter

with a wagging stump

of a tail

nobody said the salt is good

but it is still food

and your salty tongue

likes the tasty treat

sitting on my lap

watching an old

black and white movie

from the 1930s

with outdated theatre popcorn

thinking this is great

and a tail just wagging

popcorn for a puppy

with sweet jaws

small dog

with a big heart
