Lady Quinn came from a wealthy family. Her father was an inventor and published author. Her mother was a psychiatrist and published author. They always wanted the best for their only child.
Her parents always sent her to the best school and summer activities. Since the age of thirteen they always sent her to fancy dances to meet rich single men to hopefully marry in the near future.
Lady Quinn hated it. She hated playing dress up and deal with the stuck up better than thou people. She wanted to go out and run amok with the other children.
Lady Quinn preferred to dress down than to dress up. She wanted to be out playing baseball and other children’s games.
Lady Quinn was very smart. She could have excelled in whatever she wanted to do. She pretty much did too. Everything she ever had part of she was up there with the best.
It came as a shock to main stream society when Lady Quinn packed up and left to lead a life of piracy.
It devastated her parents when they found the note explaining where she was going and what she was doing with her life. They thought they had molded her into the perfect young woman who would go to college and mingle with the rich snobs and get a good proper job somewhere.
It tore her parents apart so much that they ended up in a deep dark depression and started loosing everything they had worked towards their entire lives.
She didn’t really care because she was tired of them trying to control her life for her and mold her into what they want her to be. They tried to mold her to main stream society and only mingle with the aristocrats.
It was four in the morning when she grabbed the essentials and hopped board one of the ships.
She hid down in the cargo storage until it got light and the ship was a safe distance from the docks.
She snuck her way up to the captain’s quarters and slit the captain’s throat while his back was to the door. He never knew what happened.
She dragged his limp dead body just outside the door and threw his body at the feet of the passengers and crew.
“I am taking over this ship! Who wants to be part of my pirate crew?” She stood proudly and looked across the ship full of people.
“It would mean not being tied down to one piece of land or job. It would mean freedom to travel the seven seas and steal from the rich and get drunk whenever.” Lady Quinn tried to rope them in to be part of her crew. “It would mean no more boring dress up parties. No more fancy smancy. Dress how we like and talk how we like.
A rather good amount of people decided they wanted to be part of her crew.
The rest were stripped of everything and beheaded and thrown into the ocean for the sharks.
Lady Quinn managed to shrink the heads and displayed them around the captain’s quarters.
Those were her trophies of her piracy era. Another blood shed another shrunken head as she saw it.
After years of swindling and piracy she eventually gave it all up and took up residence in an old abandoned lighthouse where to this day you could still go in and see the shrunken heads of her victims.
