At the Bottom of the River
Hey it's me, how are you doing, ok bye! I used to hear that every day and I wish it was still like that. Now I'm sitting at the bottom of a river because a kid pulled a towel out from under me when I was sitting on the edge of a boat. I feel like I'm disconnected from the world. Yeah, at least there is no one always annoying me and pushing all my buttons, but I still wish someone would use me, lift me up to their ear, and talk about all their problems. At least this time isn't as embarrassing as when my owner dropped me…everyone could see my crack. I guess I'm here till my battery run's dead, I sure am happy they have waterproof cases these days. Anyway, since I'm here for the rest of my battery life, I might as well tell you my story.
Back when I was a newly activated phone, my owner was a thirteen year old girl. I don't think she was aware I was a boy and padazled me; do you know how embarrassing that was. All the other male phones vibrated so hard when they saw how girly I looked. One time she set my ringtone as "Unicorn Charm". I didn't want to be recharged after I was set to that, even the female phones vibrated at that one. "Beep" "Beep" "Beep" I better hurry up, I'm down to fifty percent battery.
Ok, so it has been two years and she wanted an upgrade. Her mom said yes so she gave me to her cousin who is twelve years old and thankfully a boy. Well, the boy was ok, he usually took videos of himself chucking stuff over the house and then seeing how severe the damage was. I use to love to see it too…it was pretty interesting how some things broke really easily. Anyway, there was one time where he dropped me on the concrete, It was an accident and I was ok; the only thing that broke was my camera. Since I had no other reasons to keep me and was running out of things to throw over the house… it was my turn. It was the most terrifying event I had ever faced. He invited all his friends over to watch. Once they were all there he took me in his sweaty right hand and threw me with all his twelve-year-old might. I went the whole way over his house and landed on the trampoline on the other side. I was lucky enough to bounce off the trampoline and into the sunroof of a metallic red 2006 Mustang GT with double exhaust. I was a pretty nice phone so he took me. "Beep" "Beep" "Beep" Uh oh, twenty five percent battery.
Judging by the man's clothing and car, he was very wealthy. He took me to a store to get me reactivated for him. I thought I finally found a good home. Which, it was good at first; he would clean my screen, and take really good care of me. He even put a waterproof case on me because he had a boat, a big shiny red and white ski boat. We had parties on it almost once every week. That is what brings me to where I am at right now… on the bottom of a river. You see, one of his friend kids came along; a young, bright, blonde haired fellow about seven years of age. He was very lively and energetic, too energetic. My owner had me sitting on the edge of the boat on top of a towel which I admit that was a mistake on his part, but it was mostly the kids. The kid got out of the river and needed a towel, without asking he ran over to the towel I was sitting on and yanked it out from underneath me. I flew into the air and landed in the "Beep" "Beep" "Beep".
