The Poet and the Bear
An old man who lived on writing poems was so fed up of city life. He hated children and the random technology that was being invented. He hated everything because the one person who actually cared about him...his wife, who had died of blood cancer. Nobody wanted to help her and people just laughed while she suffered. After she died, the old man began to hate everyone for not caring, and he hated every child because of the children that laughed at his poor wife while she was dying. So one day he decided to visit the forest to take a break from all the stress in the city.
When the man arrived in the forest, he spotted a river and couldn't wait to go down and write a new poem! As he was climbing down the wet and slippery rocks, he saw a bear! With a fright, he stumbled to the ground and broke his leg. He knew it was the last day of his ife and he knew that the bear was going to eat him up! The bear approached the man and the man had tears in his eyes. He prayed and prayed and hoped the bear would go away. The old man started to think back of memories from his childhood and say his last prayers and goodbyes silently. After a while, the bear suddenly walked away....
5 hours later, the bear came back with a person! The man was a doctor and he said that he had heard a bear growling loudly in the forest! The doctor healed the old man and explained that the bear was used to humans and he had escaped from the zoo. He was also a vet and had treated the bear before. He said that the bear had come to his house (in a little hut) and started to roar outside his door. So the doctor decided to follow the bear since it was trained to do certain things.
The old man spent a week in hospital thinking about the bear and how close he was to death. He learned a life lesson. After this day, the man appreciated everything in life and even adopted children! He learned that certain people, even strangers cared about him...he just didn't realize it.
Never give up hope when you are in trouble and there will always be someone there. You don't have to face anything alone.
