Broccoli a Boot-leg Califlower is a statement i used, when trying to get mt 3 year old son Mali to eat his vegetables.
One Thursday evening getting ready for dinner,I asked my son to come to the table for dinner. When he's watching Dora the Explorer he does not want to be bothered. So we gathered at the table and then I placed the dish of Green Broccoli on the table, out creid a loud scream no mommy I don't like that. You don't like what? Broccoli mommy that's nasty and it's green! You need to try it!Eating vegetables are healty for you, mommy I don't like green mommy. So i was on a mission to try to do what I can to get him to eat some type of vegetable.Mali what is your favorite color? I like white mommy,ok white it is we will try white broccoli. So I went into the kicthen to ack like i'm making something new, when colliflower was already on the stove. Here we go baby "mommy replied".Yummy Yum in my tummy said mom. that looks good Mali replied so we shared some on our plates and began to eat.Mommy it's good yes it is baby so from now on mommy will make you white broccoli ok. Yeah for mommy, white broccoli. And that was the day that broccoli became a boot-leg calliflower for us.The End.
