Time can be precious
I realized that time is a matter of moment, and listening to your parents can be a good thing.
Have your parents ever told you, '"Be a kid while you can"' well, of course they told me this! But when we were young, we didn't worry about war. We didn't worry about the bills, or how our parents were losing money. We didn't care that every penny the spent could make them go poor. All we cared out, was growing up.
We realized that our parents treated us like babies, even though we were only ten. Then when we reached thirteen, we felt as though we were already grown up and entering the 'adult' world.
The 'adult' world wasn't fun though. Having to do chores, having to pay for things you really want. But then you enter the 'real' world. That's the world were even being a child can make you cry. The 'real' world is a place of jobs, money, housing, taxes, payments, and of course, worrying.
Have your parents ever told you, "We can't afford it, because were running low on money" If they have, then like I did, I worried. They didn't mean to make us scared. They just wanted to show us the 'real' world we have all been waiting for. Did you ever have a thought if your parents were poor? Yes.
They couldn't get you that toy you've been waiting for at Christmas because it was too much money. They told you to get ready and start saving up for college, a car, a house, and yourself. You wont have dad there to protect you. You wont have mom there to buy you candy from the candy shop. You'll have yourself. They told you to be a kid for long as you could. But, I didn't want to be a kid. I wanted to sit at the grown up table for once. But finally when you get that glimpse, all you wish for is to go back in time.
Have you ever cried because time was going to fast and you didn't want it to? Well, this time, let's listen to our parents for once. And believe them when they say, "Being a kid was the best thing ever"
Then, when you tell your kids this, be serious, because they too, will follow in your foot steps and be wanting to be a child again. So, be a kid still. Have fun and go out. Have best friends and lovers. Be yourself. Because once your eighteen, your off to face the world alone. Remember having all those great memories when you were a kid. Don't mope around and thinking being an adult is so great. Believe me, it's not.
