Chapter 7.
“Let me go!” yelled a struggling Cola.
“Just as soon as I slit your throat!” he yelled back. Cola managed to slip out of his grip and punch him in the face, they all made a run for it out the door. But even then Mr. Algood somehow caught up.
“Thought you could away huh, well I hope you got my telegram these days them things just ain’t getting the job done.” he said quite strangely.
“Run Storm!” yelled Speed. A second later he had a knife in his leg.
“No!” screamed Storm.
“It’s ok Storm I’ll be alright!” Speed yelled back.
“I will never leave you Speed!” she yelled turning around. Storm ran as fast as she could and had Cola put speed over his back.
“Thank you.” Speed said weakly, he had obviously lost a lot of blood.
“No trouble.” she answered a bit worried.
“Easy for you to say.” teased Cola trying to lighten the mood.
“Hurry up guys we can’t hide for long we have to get out of here!” whispered a worried Prim. They were all running so fast and hard that when Mr. Algood noticed them he didn’t have time to catch up.
“Goodbye father, we’ll send you a postcard!” the girls yelled together.
“I’ll find ya’ll I will find you and when I do it’ll be the end of you all.” he warned.
As soon as they saw Mr. Algood drive away they got a cab and immediately went to the Hospital. Storm stayed with Speed while Prim and Cola went back to their rooms and got everyones stuff gathered up. As soon as they got to the hospital they saw Speed on crutches being watched by an admiring Storm.
“Yeah Doc my parents are waitin outside for me, yep I’m sure.” convinced Speed.
“Alright then, um, be careful and tell your parents what I told you.”
“Uh-uh ok Sir.” said an annoyed Speed.
“Thank you Doc.” thanked Storm using her manners to appeal to the Soc. They walked out of the hospital and got into the car and Storm explained that a considerable amount of blood had been lost, but he thankfully didn’t lose no more than he did and the knife didn’t puncture any blood vessels or anything to extensive.
“Thats a relief.” said Cola.
“Yeah could have been a lot worse.” said Prim.
“Well lets just be thankful Dads a wimp.” joked Storm.
“And Storm’s a wonderful wife.” Speed charmed.
“Oh shush.” blushed Storm. They all tried to get over what had just happened and get on with their new lives in New York City.
