that time of year ..good byes
Seasons tumble as the ecliptic descends

Leaves cling perilously now:
The spawn of autumn spills
Red , vermillion ,ocher ,
myriads of brown and orange fused
as in a minor chord ,
Lost and weeping
out on dew wet grass.
It is evening -all Souls day:
Mist swoons and weaves along the hills

And I descend : so reluctantly
To the ever smaller arc
as the sun leaves us earlier to the coming dark

good night fair weather friend
good bye fair summer lass
it is your end
and all this must pass
Before we meet again
And this resplendent stain
Laps at waters edge
Beneath the ledge
Of high water mark
As the sap seeps down the bark

and boughs all bend in sorrow
Yielding to the lurking carrion crow.

Sleep now till the Morrow.

Sleep now all earthly beings

Let all nature be ,
'Till that tiding of the Spring

Shall once more shear the nacent scents,

And in rapture let them flee

Good night , Fair weather

Sleeep well and let all things blend

Let your angel friends attend

And all your myriad limbs mend.
