Rain . Falls drop by drop
Fills the rivers lakes and streams.
Slakes the thirst of all our crops ;
Swamps the cities  of all our dreams .
Irene ; New York, City
Plop by Plop
A city swells ,and sludges  to  full stop ,
Drop by little drop
Turns buildings to aquatic reed -stops
With floods churning
Through the  pipes of organs ;
Skyscrapers
Towers .

Tear by tear
Drop by drop ;
Non-stop
