Something stirred in him that he’d never experienced before and yet he found he wanted more. For what was pain was also gain and that he was all for, albeit in a curious, confused and frankly selfish way. Would he ever play football again?

The curious side of him took over first, plunging in with questions of wicked nature. All the things he could do! Despite all appearances, he liked playing football – it was alright, really. However, there are other sports out there. Maybe he’d learn how to play guitar. After all, everybody needs a hobby.

The feeling of selfishness arrived, fast and furious. Why should he have to play football every week? He never really liked it anyway, and other sports are way cooler.

Then the confusion offered a tippet – “But I quite like playing football.”
