Son of a WWII Paratrooper.
Father was Military History Department head at West Point when I was a child. Was taught from an early age never to accept only one side of any action.
My Mother was a writer of Children's books and books on life in the old west, though she loved New York City and Greece.
Graduated Texas A&M, Kingsville.
US Marine... went back and finished two degrees.
Enlisted in the Army for Officer Candidate School. Top of class so got to pick branch: Military Intelligence
Upon promotion to 1st Lieutenant was assigned as a Green Beret. Finished the Green Beret (aka the "Q" course) training. Was then put into the system. During the Jimmy Carter FUBAR got disgusted with his lack of guts and got out.
Became an FBI Agent.
3 letter of commendation from the Director (Highest honor given to an Agent) for two kidnapping cases and undercover work that established new law.
This is where I perfected the art of getting to the truth and learning to REALLY listen to what is being said (AND not said) and written.
Asked to come back on active duty with the Green Berets from Green Beret legend, Colonel "Nick" Rowe.
