Why not just go for it?
I have been writing since I was in my mid-teens, (mainly scripts) but once I had graduated and dabbled into a literature course I decided to try a form of writing I had never done before. Novel format writing.
I really enjoy it, but I haven't shared much of it with anyone. It's mainly a lack of confidence but I want to become a better writer, and what better way to become one then to get feedback from fellow writers. Letting my stories sit around for only my eyes to see isn't going help with the improvement process.
I know my stories need a lot of work and I can tell I get better with each one I create. I desperately need help and opinions because the only other people who do read them are friends and family...and they're not exactly great on the constructive criticsm.
If anyone out there can spare the time to read my stories and give some helpful criticsm, I would be forever greatful.
Thanks, and happy reading.
