Retired 5 yrs ago ; much of time dedicated to medical pfofession- seems longer but as I approach 60 maybe not soon enough.

Occupation - none now - but i consider living an occupation though i do very little - I would not qualify as a 'professional liver' as it were - just an amateur ( amo - amas - amat -one )

Ambition - to write one good short story or make a playable stringed instrument , a sailable boat ,write a haunting lament for irish steel stringed harp

Passion - fishing . Baach , Beatles , Ramblin Jack Elliot ; Pachabelle . some Mozart. Elvis. Mario Lanza

Joan Baez ; Pete Seger

Fondness for ;astronomy ; painting ,architechture ; Old cathedrals

Detestation for ; celebrities . Big brother ; Abba .Soccer , Ballet - War

Dabble in ; Philosophy ; photography.Medical education.Midle East politics.

My only revision of this page is a statememnt that I will  not respond to any writers begging to be reviewed , like bold children bawling for sweets IF they do not take the trouble to read mine ( or others)  Equally I have come to loath to see those  stacato , comments you can churn out to any piece- awessome - I really identified with this piece; This piece had me thinking of....etc

they are patenlty superficial and most of them are intended to ' globalise ' their own popularity.

Ive put a new image of self up; did you notice -

Now that Ive turned 60 vanity is something almost  too preposterous  to contemplate.

There have been changes also in my responses - I am less infernally negatively critical.

I welcome all the new writers , and promise the new reader that I shall be more  circumspect and thoughtful aot my erstwhille scathing critiques - Let it roll man!  and give me ' stick '  as   you feel the need .

As for my views on celebrities - I'm afraid I give no quarter there
