Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

I began writing to work through my grief over the loss of my sister to cancer. Since her loss I have felt like a piece of me is missing, too. In the process I have taken a deeper look at my family before and my family now and what it all means to me.
From my earliest memory I have been a lover of words, the way they sound and join together to create a beautiful tapestry of expression. I have always wanted to write but lacked the confidence or boldness to begin. So here I am before you, I have stepped across the line and am ready to be shaped and crafted into a writer through your constructive input.
For a portion of my life I felt like someone without a voice, but I now know you really can hear me. Thank you for taking time to read my words, please let me know what you think.
