Blue whale is the biggest living animal on earth, known to man, as on date. Interestingly, the blue whales doest have teeth.  The teeth, the claws and the horns are the most important weapons all most all animals use both for the purpose of defense and offence.  Hence, all the animals, whether they are herbivores (plant eating animals) or carnivores (flesh eating animals), have these weapons for their survival.

But, why the biggest animal on earth, the blue whale doesn’t have teeth?   The blue whale represents a deep meaning and relevance to the corporate and hence it is worth knowing why nature has created this animal differently from the rest.

If not, for attack and hunt, how does the blue whale eat the food without teeth?  Blue whale swallow gallons of water and the water get filtered and the filtered water comes out.  The prey of blue whale, sea plants etc., gets stuck in the filter and is, later swallowed by the animal.   That is how the blue whale finds and eats its food.

If the blue whale has teeth, the animal may sow destruction as it is the biggest animal on earth.  It can attack and kill any animal without any challenge or threat.  Hence, the nature would have created a definite limitation in the animal perhaps with a purpose.

The CEO’s and Directors occupy an exalted position in the corporate like how a blue whale in the marine ecosystem.  The people who hold the top position in the corporate should take things like how a blue whale filters and only then it takes.  While filtering, all the unwanted things are expelled or thrown out.

Everything in life, one need to filter and all the unwanted things must be thrown out.  But unfortunately, some CEO’s and top leaders in the corporate approach people and issues with ‘teeth, claws and horns’.  By throwing their power on people, they are actually proving ‘powerless’ or are not worthy for such position.

Exemplary management wisdom, the nature has shown while creating a blue whale.  When such a massive and powerful animal is made, a limitation is inevitable and only then animal will use patience in processing things and not aggression or anger or its strength.  The nature sends out a strong management message to the corporate through creating the blue whales without teeth.

While enriching ones wisdom, one also must enrich ones consciousness, ethical values and emotional intelligence.  Nature has plethora of management wisdom to offer to the corporate but only when the corporate and its HR are sensitive, such learning can uplift the corporate culture and its people.
