This is an observation on the English Awakening.

Having the likes of Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand: acquisitive, venal, attention seeking football thugs; serial adulterers and ambassadors of the worst forms of bling culture and immorality lecturing the genuinely disposed and deliberately marginalized of the UK on ethical conduct and how they should respond to what they’re subjected to on a routine basis is not only like kicking a man when he’s down and dictating to him how he should react when you’re doing so but analogous as well to a paedophile arrogantly assuming he or she can advise on child welfare.

Jacquie Beltrao of Sky news (where else?) owned by Rupert Murdoch supports their stance as she does the Daily Express’ manipulated publicity stunt of clean the scums off our streets by exclusively well-heeled Caucasian individuals who would be hard-pressed in normal circumstances to recognize a broom, what it’s for, let alone know how to use one in their own homes. And her explanation is that Messrs Rooney and Ferdinand have over 1 million supporters out of a British population of 60 million people. Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, for example, had several millions more globally and we know what this same mindset led to.

Interestingly enough and quite indicative of this kind of mindset, Jacquie let slip to Eamon Holmes that it’s her au-pair who takes her dog for its walks. I wonder how many of those involved in the English Awakening have au pairs of any kind. Don’t hold your breath on that one!

Stanley Collymore.
