Why do we always get blinded so easily? Whether it is with love or life in general. It seems like we don't see the whole picture, or the true until we step back and take a look. While everyone around us sees it, we are blind. We don't normally think at the time to step back and look at the whole picture before we get hurt.
We fall in love, we perceive it to be so perfect, but everyone else says all kinds of negative things about that person. From, "they aren't good enough." To, "they are cheating on you." What are you really going to believe? "Oh, not them. That's so impossible!" or, "damn…" but either way, its just a rumor. The moment you believe in that rumor you get so insecure that even if the rumor wasn't true, you just ruined your relationship! If it wasn't a rumor, it was really true, well you could have saved yourself from being more hurt in the end if you would have listened. So what the hell is a person to do?
I wish this was an easier task to do, stepping back and looking at the whole picture and all. I guess it takes time to develop that habit. Thinking about that possibility, does it occur to you that maybe that may come with analyzing what doesn't need to be analyzed? Looking too deeply into each move of that person. That could lead into insecurities as well.
In life, stepping back to see the whole picture can benefit in many ways. You are able to see things in your life that you can appreciate. You can find happiness in things you usually don't notice on a daily basis. Some people have it worse than you do, and it could always be worse for you. So why not be thankful? Because tomorrow you could have nothing…
