Topic: Words…
Tiffany Anna
Many fail to realize the power of words. Their mindsets are on, "They are just words, they shouldn't be so sensitive. Just get over it." When actually, words lead to worse things than many has given credit.
You see suicides, murders, and mass shootings world wide. Especially a lot lately. Anyone wonder why? Of course you do, its something on everyone's minds when they hear of such a tragic incident.
There are many people who think they are so cool to tell someone they are ugly, stupid, or lower than dirt and think that person should just get over it because "its just words". And that infuriates me deeply. That person could come from a very abusive home and be very mentally broken to start with. To have to endure more of that abuse in the only places they can only hope to find an escape? That is just horrible.
Sometimes people just snap, and go to measures that could of been avoided over one word. Just one hurtful word or action.
Bullying can lead to drug abuse, suicide, and even murder. But, most bullies are raised in a bad surrounding anyways, and that might be all they know. So, what is the problem underneath all of this? It could very well be where, and how they were raised. Maybe if parents would take a stand and overcome the things they went through growing up and be better people, then their children would grow up to be better people.
I give props to all the good people with horrible childhoods, or no childhoods at all, and has overcame all the negative to live a very positive lifestyle. Showing your own children and grandchildren the love that they need to become better people. To stop this saddening and horrible, vicious cycle that has been created.
To all, share the love.
