First of all….

Are you addicted?!?

Symptoms of Facebook Addiction

If you answered Yes to any of these, you might be addicted!

Did you know:
There are currently 900 million active users on Facebook (and it is still gaining more people)! :O
Are you one of them?
I know I am!!

Can you believe that the year I signed up (2009) there was only about 197 million users on Facebook. What the heck happened, right?

Let's think about this though.
I remember when Myspace was the site to use then everyone shifted over to Facebook. When I was first on Facebook, it was only my high school friends using it. Then a year went by and I started seeing my family join (even my grandmother). Next thing you know you can add your whole family to the "Family List" on your page. Probably even your dog scruffy! (I have witnessed animal facebooks).

Let's face it…. Facebook my friends, is the world's new(old) obsession!

Anything you can possibly imagine most likely has a facebook page.
Companies, Products, (new) Bands, (new) Comedians all have them.

What better place to advertise right?

Now a days, you type in what you need and facebook most likely has all the info you need including personal opinions from others. (Didn't used to be like that).

Heck, they even have entertainment on there!
Any farmville people out there? (Can't stand that game).

Facebook is a huge social network site (obviously), where everyone is located these days. That's probably why it is so popular (or it's because people have the opportunity to be nosey). It also makes it easier staying in touch with someone who may live many states away.

Is all this a good thing though?
What about the effect it has on the people….the new generations.

I know people already who rely on facebook to communicate with others because they are too reserved in person. Or they take their problems to the "News Feed" and don't fix the problem directly. Facebook sometimes is just full of negative and drama that no one needs to know about. Yet, now a days everyone likes to get all personal and make sure the world knows everything that is going on in their lives.

This is just my opinion on the matter…what do you think?

Anyway.

Facebook is just a huge addiction to many people and who knows what the future brings. Maybe the popularity of the site will decline, or maybe it will become something more…..
