I want to start off by saying I was hiding these articles from some people. I got to thinking and I think that is wrong. Everyone should have the opportunity to read these and draw their own conclusions. If you are offended and disagree, simply don't read them. If you have a meaningful comment I will respond, but do not comment in anger against these articles for all that will get is it removes or ignored at best; I don't debate the Gospel for the Word of God speaks for itself. With that being said I'll begin.

Many people have read chapters two and three of the Book of Revelation where Jesus dictated the letters to John to the seven churches bit never really understood them. It is meant to be applied in our lives, and as we get close to the end they all seven spirits in those churches are running at the same time.

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love (Revelation 2:2-4).

The church at Ephesus was doing many good things, but God wasn't first in their lives any longer. They had left Him and were turning to the world.

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen (Revelation 2:5a). What had they fallen from? Grace and their first love, without the love of God we are nothing. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing (I Corinthians 13:2). The word charity here means love.

You cannot get into Heaven without His love. You can't get there being critical, bitter and gossiping. It has to be a love-tongue to get to Heaven. The Lord wants you to praise Him, but when poison defiles your tongue; He doesn't hear you. He turns you off, becomes deaf to your voice; The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry (Psalm 34:15).

and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent (Revelation 2:5b). The church at Ephesus was in a backslidden state, only repentance could save them.

There was a woman who was asked by a Pastor once, "Are you saved?" She said, "I belong to a church." He said, "Your church won't save you." In arrogance she looked at him and said, "Mine will."

She belonged to a church that believed once saved, always saved. The Bible doesn't teach a church will get you to Heaven; it's the blood that will get you there. I wonder if she ever got to God; I hope so.

A missionary on her deathbed left this testimony. "I've worked for the Lord, done many works for Him; but I'm not going to Heaven through my works. I'm going through the blood of Jesus." It is awesome her last words were about the Blood of Jesus.

Jesus purchased the Church with His own blood and He has the right to say who will go and who won't.

Jesus said to the church at Smyrna: And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan (Revelation 2:8, 9). Jesus had seen all that they had been through.

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life (Revelation 2:10).

The crown of life is eternal life. Jesus said they were doing a good job and said they had to be faithful unto death. How long; unto death, continuing in sin is not faithfulness.

I will continue analyzing these letters soon. In the meantime everyone should see how their life compares to them.
