2007: Poet's Reading List (matmoo)

Book Review By: matmoo
Editorial and Opinion

These are my top 10 poem's on Booksie.
The majority of stuff on Booksie is all very good, but much of it never gets publicised enough. I decided I would like to raise the awareness of my favourite 10 poems on the site (excluding my own).

As you may be able to see, the style I personally like is often more like a 'poetry jam' as I call it; free flowing and heartfelt. It would be interesting to read other peoples Reading Lists. View table of contents...

Some of these poems I have commented on as well, others I have not. There are also many other poems and poets that I think are very good, but listing them all would take a long time.

So here they are:

1. it's the 30th kid, and another sunken evening has taken place (eleveneleven)

2. To All Single Crushing Myspace Lovers; This is For You and I (In The Hands Of)

3. Common Soldier (Mousey)

4. The Jukebox Moan (Methelusa)

5. How to break a heart (Tesseth)

6. Begin but don't touch (poet on a bus) (fiona)

7. Throw me into an Asylum (Mousey)

8. The Friend (Snow Queen)

9. Necesito Tu, I Need You (Scarlett Faust)

10. Nowhere Lane (celeron2)

I hope the authors are ok with me doing this...

If you want to read any of the above poems, just copy and paste the title into a search on READ.

Hi Matmoo. I'll check out the poems on your list.

Just curious: Why have you not commented on some of the poems in your top 10?

ha! yes... well... if the truth be told, I guess this publication was a kind of comment of what I think of them. The ones which I haven't commented on I only found out about today.

matmoo
