In the state of Texas, it is the opinion of the courts that a trans person, having been born a particular anatomical sex, is by virtue of that fact, that sex for the duration of their lives without regard to any gender confirming procedures (surgical or non). The irony comes in when it comes into consideration that the state of Texas also does not recognize gay marriage, whether from within the state or from a different state. Those two together allow for a same sex couple to get married in my beloved state because Texas is too "traditional" to aknowledge love as being between two people regardless of any trait that might set them apart from the "majority". Is it suddenly okay to hate someone because they're different and the law doesn't say you can't? I didn't think so... NOW GET OVER YOURSELF TEXAS AND MAKE LOVE LEGAL!!!
