I was born in 1990, and during the 90s I can remember when music was good, when it actually had meaning and truth now it's all about popularity. Back in the late 90s and early 2000s the boybands were amazing my two favorites were and still are Nsync and the Backstreet Boys, now it's One Direction. The guys from Britan who have turned Americans and everyone in the world crazy, thier fans are called Directioners, some say they have One Direction Infection, but to me that sounds like a awful rash that I do not want. When ever I think of the song As Long As You Love Me I automatically think of the Backstreet Boys, but when I heard that Justin wrote as song with the same title I thought it was going to be a cover I knew I was wrong when I saw the music video. Another thing about Justin is his song Boyfriend, in one of the verses it say's "If I was your boyfriend I wouldn't let you go" that is kind of possessive I would want some space from that relationship.
Speaking of Justin thanks to him there is a song that everybody loves Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen, now everywhere I go I hear that song, and to be honest I don't want to call you at all. There are alot of artists music that I can stand, but one of them I wish they would do something else, and that is Nikki Minaj whenever I see her videos I try so hard not to laugh as she over pronounces her words, sometimes I wonder if Nikki knows how she sounds at times. Back in the late 90s music is when you actually sang with your voice not some computerized voice like autotune if you can sing with your own voice great for you. Originallity has always been something in music, but now to me it's all about who can outdo each other, music is now the same with the same message. Even though music is not what it used to be I am so happy that I have the memories of what it used to be.
