No More Animal Testing!

Imagine you are in your room sleeping, and suddenly your door gets thrown open. Frantically, the police charge you and throw you into an ambulance for a long ride to the hospital. The next thing you know, scientist and doctors start injecting needles into your body without warning. How would you feel? Well this is what’s happening to animals around the world. These days’ scientists conduct experiments using animals. That’s not how the world should work. It is not necessary to use living beings in experiments because animals have rights and lives to live. Creatures are superb friends to people. For example, dogs are people’s life-long companions. There are numerous activities we can do with pets, such as playing with dogs in the park. Some people think we should let scientists use animals in experiments because it is for the good of society’s future. If just one creature is used in an experiment, people may believe other animals should be used for experiments, especially if the experiment is successful. It is possible that animals in the experiments may become cured, and this gives people hope. Lastly, animals in experiments may be considered heroes. Animals, however, are living beings that register both positive and negative sensations. They have feelings just like people. Observations show that animals screech or whine when suffering. In addition, research also reveals that animals, such as chimpanzees, have brains that make decisions. Think about being an animal used for experimentation: It may sense fear, pain and/or even death. Experimental animals need lives to reproduce the new generation. Some animals have a family, which require care. Becoming part of an experiment means there is a big chance of dying, pain, suffering, and decreasing the population of animals. You might consider this. The part that is the most astonishing is the fact that animal experiment uses approximately 750,000 animals a year! Also, only 5% of these experiments come out as predicted! That can really make massive extinction. There are people like me who are against animal experimenting, but there is numerous of people out there who might support this idea. People might just say, “Since some of these animals sacrifice themselves for us, human, it is time for them to shine.” The problem is: Did animals ask for this? These creatures have as much rights as we do! Even though you want to help them to be heroes, you have to at least ask for permission! You can’t just grab them and just shove them into a lab! Another thing is you really making them shine? All I see is when one animal die from experiment, scientists just shove them into a garbage can, and then takes another animal to test. Animal experiments causes vast amount of problem because animals have feelings and the reproductive systems, and there are few scientific facts against animal experimentation. Animals are excellent pals and should not be in any type of experiments. They do not have the power to say no! Creatures’ lives are not something to be wasted without permission from them. Because of pets, we are not lonely when feeling lost. Sometimes they save us from danger. Dogs lead blind men home. Animals need to be cared for the way people are. Experiments are not the way to treat them. Creatures do not experimented on us! It’s not fair for us to use animals in experiments because they are living beings just like us. If animal experiment doesn’t stop, larger problem problems will lie in the future. We need to speak for the animals and say NO to animal experimentation!
